Yemeni-UAE summit to be held Tuesday

SANA’A, Jan. 29(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh would head to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday in for Yemeni-UAE summit. During the two-day visit, Saleh and his highness, Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan of UAE, will hold talks summit. Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi, stated to Saba that the visit came in line with continuous contacts between the leaderships of the two countries and the joint keenness to enhance bilateral relations in all fields. Al-Arhabi said that Yemen highly values the role of UAE in supporting Yemen and making London Consultative Group Meeting a success. He disclosed that there were Yemeni-Emirates contacts for seeking aspects of UAE’s support to Yemen, clarifying that preparations are being made for a visit by Abu Dhabi Fund delegation to Yemen for talks on cooperation between the two countries. The minister said that the summit, to be held in Abu Dhabi, would focus on a number of vital issues, especially enhancing ways of joint investments, hoping active participation of Gulf investors in the conference of Discovering Investment Opportunities in Yemen to be held next April.
