Yemen ambassador to Mogadishu meets Somali President

MOGADISHU, March 02 (Saba)- Somali President Abdullah Yousef Ahmed met on Sunday with Yemen ambassador to Mogadishu Ahmed Hameed Omer. The ambassador conveyed President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s congratulations to Somali president for making full recovery. He also conveyed President Saleh’s wishes to the transitional Somali government to follow dialogue with the opposition to contribute to overcoming sufferings of Somalis and enable governmental institutions to accomplish their tasks to serve the Somali people and their unity and stability. The Somali president expressed his thanks and appreciation for efforts exerted by President Saleh to support the Somali federal institutions and reconciliation efforts. He also asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to President Saleh, wishing Yemen more progress and prosperity. NN/AM Saba
