VP meets deputy president of Total Company

SANA’A, May 03 (Saba)-Vice President Abduh Raboh Mansor Hadi received on Monday Deputy President of Total Company who is currently visiting Yemen.In the meeting, they discussed ties between Yemen and the company, which is considered one of biggest companies working in oil and gas field in the country.The vice president pointed out to the recent visit of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the oil block No. 10 which is run by the company, saying that the president affirmed the common interests of the country and company in developing the production in the block.He also pointed out to importance of generating the electricity by using gas instead of diesel which is imported to the country.For his part, the deputy president of the company valued support of the government for the operations of the company in the country.He said that the company wishes to increase in its oil production in coming period up to 80,000 barrels per day in addition to achievement of the third gas production line, which would respond to local needs and open new markets for the Yemeni gas abroad.AH
