Vice president meets with SCC’s head, members
IBB, March 11 (Saba)- Vice President Abdu-Rabo Mansur Hadi met Sunday with chairman and members of Sub-Committee for Celebrations (SCC) for discussing what have been achieved in preparing for Yemen’s celebration of the 17th reunification anniversary, scheduled to be held in Ibb. In the beginning of the meeting, Ibb governor, Ali al-Quisi, briefed vice president on different activities being carried out in the province, nature of the ongoing work and the level of achievement as well as reasons of stopping some work cases and the way needed for accelerating the achievements. For his part, general manger of Public Works and Roads’ office in the province, Mahdi Hadi provided a detailed report on work volume and the level of achievements in a number of road projects. Director general of electricity in the province, Abdul-Malik al-Ezzy, provided a report on the ongoing work for improving level of generating electricity in a number of districts. The vice president directed concerned officials to allocate YR 220 million for speeding up the execution of projects and solving problems facing them. In this regard, Hadi confirmed that when President Ali Abdullah Saleh decided to hold the celebration of the Yemeni Reunification every year in different province, he wanted by this to provide service projects to the province in which the celebration takes place. Then vice president paid inspection visits to a number of areas where asphalting works, lightening and road stone collocations being carried out in. He also inspected additional projects in the province to be inaugurated during celebration of the 17th Anniversary of the Yemeni Reunification. MS/AM SABA
