US welcomes Saleh’s initiative

SANA’A, March 12 (Saba) – The U.S. has welcomed the initiative of President Ali Abdullah Saleh announced at the First National Conference held in Sana’a last Thursday, aiming to overcome the current political crisis in Yemen.Assistant to the U.S President John Brennan called on the Yemeni opposition parties to respond to the President’s initiative and engage in a serious dialogue for solving this obstacle.The U.S official said the government and opposition should share the responsibility to end this problem peacefully.The obligation of all sides is to participate in addressing the legitimate demands of the people, providing a clear path for the country, he added.FJ
