To maintain unity is next program of youth: Saleh says

TAIZ, May 20 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh stressed on Thursday that the country is the responsibility of young people and to maintain the unity is the next program of youth. This came in the President’s speech during his attendance the closing ceremony of the Fifth Festival for Youth ,organized by the Yemen Youth Federation during May 17-20 under the slogan” Yemen Is First”. In his speech, President Saleh pointed out that the city of Taiz did not embrace the young only, but it has embraced the numerous and large meetings, most notably of which were the activists meetings of the unification and the October 14 Revolution at al-Janad Camp. He pointed out that young men aged between 20 and 27 years make up 60 per cent of the population, therefore they know well the unity. “Yemen and unity are in the hearts of all Yemenis and shame is on the small-scale entrepreneurs who want to dwarf Yemen after it has become big and it is still big among nations”, said Saleh. He addressed all youth throughout the homeland saying” Greetings for youth all over the country, you are the nation’s hope and future”. President Saleh noted that a river of blood shed in order to maintain the unity in the epic of 1994 to confront the small-scale entrepreneurs who would never learn from the past lessons. ” I speak about Taiz with admiration for it is my first election home and the 33rd district is my constituency, I will never forget that wonderful march led by sons of Taiz in 1978 and moved to the capital Sana’a , to nominate an officer in the armed forces named Major Ali Abdullah Saleh for the post of President of the Republic”, Saleh Said.
