Syrian President thanks President Saleh

SANA’A, April 21 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Saturday a thanking cable from his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad in replying to Saleh’s congratulations on the Syrian people’s celebrations on the independence day. Al-Assad wished Yemeni leadership and Yemen more happiness and progress. Syria won its independence from the French colony on April 17 in 1946. YA/NS SABA
