Syrian president praises Yemeni efforts to resolve Palestinian division

DAMASCUS, April 30 (Saba) – Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad highlighted on Wednesday efforts of Yemen to resolve Palestinian disputes. The Syrian leader received director of the presidential office and national security Ali al-Ansi, who handed him over a message from President Ali Abdullah Saleh concerning current Arab situation, especially in Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon and Somalia. The letter also dealt with results of the recent Arab summit that was held in Damascus and efforts to resolve Palestinian division within the framework of the Yemeni initiative. Al-Ansi discussed also with the Syrian president bilateral relations and means of enhancing cooperation to serve mutual interests of both nations. AH/AH
