Syrian PM hands over president Saleh a letter from al-Asad
SANA’A, May 10 (Saba) – Syrian Prime Minister Mahmoud Atri handed over President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday a letter from Syrian President Bashar al-Asad. The message is set to deal with mutual relations and cooperation between Yemen as well as current situations in the region toped by situations in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq. In the meeting, the president discussed with Syrian prime minister and members of Yemeni-Syrian Supreme Joint Committee (YSSJC) cooperation between the two countries in the light of meetings of YSSJC. They also discussed protocols that would be agreed upon for promoting this cooperation. President Saleh highlighted mutual relations between Yemen and Syria, affirming keenness on developing and improving them in different fields. He also confirmed importance of coordinating Arab efforts for containing sorrowful developments in Lebanon and working on healing Lebanese rift fro realizing agreements serving country’s stability and national unity, asking Atri to convey his best wishes to al-Asad.
