Sultan Qaboos receives letter from President Saleh

MUSCAT, June 26 (Saba) – Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said received here on Saturday a letter form President Ali Abdullah Saleh.The letter handed over by Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi dealt with the Yemeni-Omani bilateral relations and aspects of promoting them.It also reviewed issues and developments in the regional and international arenas that concern the two countries.At their meeting, Qaboos and al-Qirbi discussed aspects of cooperation between Yemen and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States and the role of Gulf States in supporting the development process and Yemen’s security and stability.Sultan Qaboos re-affirmed his country’s support for Yemen and its stability and unity, saying Yemen’s stability comes firstly within the interest of Arab and Gulf states.FJ/AF
