Saudi FM hails President Saleh’s participation in G-8 Summit

JEDDAH, June 23, (Saba)- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal hailed President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s participation in the G-8 Summit held early this month in the Sea Island in Georgia. “His Excellency President Saleh saves no effort to avail his presence in any international gathering to put his plain approach of issues concerning Moslem and Arab nations, “said the Saudi official in remarks to the Yemeni TV’s correspondent during a news conference in Jeddah this afternoon. Replying to a question whether Yemen could join an anti-terror Gulf pact, he said: “We believe security in the Arabian Peninsula is a common concern. We do have security agreements with Yemen that are no less in rules than the Gulf states agreement signed in Kuwait. AA/NS SABA
