Saleh urges the Intl community to shoulder its humanitarian

SANA’A, July 20 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh welcomed on Thursday the struggle of Palestinian and Lebanese peoples against wild attacksof Israel. He condemned the killings and destruction acts committed by Israel, saying that Israel practices these destructive acts and world is silent and doesnot do anything to stop this “terrorism of state” against the two peoples. According to26 September weekly, president Saleh said: “The resistance of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples against Israeli military forceschanges the balances and accounts of the Arab-Israeli war strategy eitherthe war of 1967, 1973 or 1982 war when Israel occupied Lebanon.” Saleh added that Israel used to launch speed wars and realize its targetsand impose its conditions. Despite its high and modern military tools and destructive weapons used for killing the civilians, children, women and old people and destroyingthe infrastructure and economic corporations of Lebanon and Palestine,it could not after eight days of war, it seems so far from its goals thataim to destroy soul of resistance and struggle of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples. He said that it is the first time when Israel feels that it is fighting in an open war and its citizens feel impacts of this war on their life. “Does Israel dare to committee these aggressive and wild acts against the civilians and the innocent people, if it is now in fight with all Arab countries that have big capabilities?” Saleh said. Saleh asked “why Arabs do not activate the common defense agreement, not from a point of view that call for war or using military force but atleast as kind of political help and as a moral and financial support, and to offer solidarity for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples who arefacing a fierce aggression by Israeli. He urged the international community to shoulder its moral and humanitarian responsibility to stop this aggression and force Israel to response for the international resolutions. He said that the absence of the international justice and double standards in implementing the international resolutions are deepen dispraise amongArab and Muslim peoples as well as growing extremism and terrorism in the region and the world. He criticized the attempts of Israeli to justify its attacks on Palestine and Lebanon by saying that three of its soldiers are captured by Palestinianand Lebanese resistances while it forget that it detains tens of thousandsof Palestinian, Lebanese and Arab detainees in its prisons and practices abuse against them. He called Arab leaders to hold the Arab emergency summit as soon as possible as it is important to come out with a unified Arab stance to help Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and to discuss the current situation. It is not time to audit that or this part, but it is time to support our brothers in two countries who are facing daily for Israeli untamed aggression. Saleh added that Israel arrogance will be over on rock of the struggle of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples as well as good people in theworld who do not accept torture and aggression. AH/TN SABA
