Saleh to send constitutional amendments to Parliament

SANA’A, Oct 27 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh is scheduled to send constitutional amendments over improving the political system and establishing a broad municipal governance and a two-chamber legislative system to Parliament. Under the constitution, President Saleh and Parliament have the right to request amending one or more of the constitution articles, on condition that the request include justifications for such amendments. Parliament initially agreed to the amendments with a majority vote for them and will discuss and approve them in two months. FRSaba
