Saleh Thanks UAE wheat gifts

SANA’A, May 27 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh voiced Tuesday his thanks to the president of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifah bin Zayid Al Nahyan to the UAE gift of Wheat to Yemen. On a phone call, president Saleh expressed his appreciation to the 500,000 tons of wheat the UEA’s president bestowed Yemeni people to face the impacts of the world food prices soar. The two presidents also talked about the mutual relations and the developments in the region. President of UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan have ordered to grant 500,000 tons of wheat to the Yemeni people. The UAE’s News Agency (WAM) indicated that this UAE gift comes to support the Yemeni efforts to face the wheat price increases in the international markets. Worth mentioning, Al-Nahyan’s donations also included one million tons of wheat to the Egyptian people and US $ 300 million to support Morocco to face the hike of the international food prices.
