Saleh receives thank-you letter from Japanese PM

SANA’A, Nov. 25 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Wednesday a letter from Prime Minister of Japan Yukio Hatoyama thanking him for the efforts exerted by the Yemeni government in setting free the Japanese hostage in safety. Hatoyama affirmed, in the letter, concern of Japan to reinforce its ties with Yemen and to continue supporting development, economic and social process in Yemen. The Japanese hostage engineer Takeo Mashimo, 63, was kidnapped on November 15 and set free on November 23, 2009. AM/AM Saba
