Saleh, Mubarak hold talks in Sharm el-Sheikh
SHARM EL SHEIKH, Egypt, June 25 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh held with the Egyptian President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak talks on Saturday immediately after president Saleh’s arrival in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. Immediately after arrival, Saleh held closed-door talks with Mubarak over bilateral ties and the political and democratic reforms in the region, that they insisted that those reforms must come from inside the countries. Regional issues, especially those related to Palestine, Iraq and Somalia as well as the means to strengthen Arab joint work, were also tackled by the two leaders. President Saleh was welcomed at the Sharm el-Sheikh airport by the Mubarak, Minister of Foreign Affaires Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Minister of Civil Aviation Ahmed Shafiq, Minister of Higher Education Amr Salama, Minister of Tourism Ahmed el-Maghrabi, Head of Intelligence Organization Omar Suliman, the Yemeni ambassador to Cairo Abdul-Aziz al-Komim and Yemeni permanent representative to Arab League Abdul-Wali al-Shamiri.
