Saleh meets President of Somalia Puntland State

SANA’A, Oct.07 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Thursday with President of the Puntland State of Somalia Abdirahman Mohamed Farole ,who is currently visiting Yemen. Talks in the meeting dealt with the Yemeni-Somali relations, the situation in Somalia and in particular in Puntland State, and outcomes of Farole’s talks with Yemeni officials ,as well as issues related to combating piracy in the Gulf of Aden and coordinating efforts in this area. President Saleh reiterated Yemen’s support to security, stability and unity of Somalia, noting that Somalia is a brotherly country and its security and stability concerns Yemen and all countries in the region. For his part, Farole commended the supportive positions of President Saleh to Somalia and his keenness on security and stability of Somalia, noting to the strong and historical ties between Yemen and Somalia.
