Saleh meets Mubarak in Sharm el-Shikh

SHARM EL-SHIKH, April 18 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Sunday with his Egyptian counterpart Muhammad Hosni Mubarak. In the meeting, President Saleh congratulated Mubarak upon the successful surgery he underwent in Germany, wishing him good health. He voiced Yemen’s appreciation for Egypt’s supportive positions to Yemen’s security, stability and unity, noting the brotherly relationship between the two countries and peoples. For his part, President Mubarak assured President Saleh on his health after the surgery, expressing his thanks to President Saleh for his sincere fraternal feelings. Mubarak reiterated Egypt’s supportive position to Yemen’s security, stability and unity, affirming the strength of the Egyptian-Yemeni historical relations. During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged points of view on issues and developments at the Arab and regional arenas which concern the two countries and the Arab nation. In forefront of those issues are the results of the 22nd Arab summit held in Libyan city of Surt and the efforts exerted to push forward the march of joint Arab work and to develop its mechanisms.
