Saleh meets JBIC governor
TOKYO, Nov 08 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Tuesday with the governor of the Japan Bank for International cooperation (JBIC) Kawasaki Shniwzawa.
The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation and projects the Bank could finance in Yemen in the future.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of granting Yemen some loans in yen to fund several development projects as well the projects that will be carried out by the Japanese companies such as the projects of generating electricity by gas and expanding the Al-Barh And Ammran Cement factories.
The meeting was attended by the minister of trade and industry Khalid Sheikh, the minister of state Abdullah Al-Bashiri, the Yemeni ambassador to Japan Ali Al-Saqaf, the Japanese ambassador to Yemen Yuichi Ishii and the Yemeni-Japanese Friendship Assembly chairman Mohammed Adhban.
