Saleh meets Indian oil Minister

SANA’A, Feb. 03(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Saturday with the Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Murli Deora. The Minister, after exchanging compliments from the Indian president Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, re-invited president Saleh to visit India. The meeting dealt with the bilateral relations between the two countriesin oil, gas and minerals industry. Deora expressed willingness of Indian oil exploration companies to work in Yemen, particularly in sea sectors, talking highly about Yemen’s promising investment climate and referred to many Indian companies that were granted privileges for oil exploration in Yemen. “The Yemeni-Indian relations are very rooted and ever-developing”, Saleh Said, confirming Yemen’s interest in further fostering cooperation with India.
