Saleh meets clerics in Mukalla

MUKALLA, Sept. 09 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Friday evening with the clerics, members of Hadhramout local council, directors of the executive offices, sheikhs, high-profiles figures , businessmen and a group of women. President Saleh talked with them about the development achievements as well as security and stability. He pointed out to the positive changes in the governorate, saying that the government witness more development in the future. He talked about the democracy that Yemen was witnessing now, saying that all Yemeni is proud of democracy. He affirmed importance of the women role and the significance of the local councils as well as their successful accomplishments in improving the local developments. This experience will witness more progress in the framework of strengthening principle of financial and administrative decentralization. He gave order to solve land problems in the governorate, create some guidancecenters as well as build some of the education compounds in the governorate. AF/AH SABA
