Saleh lands in London

LONDON, Aug. 11 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Wednesday in Britain’s capital, London, on a visit during which he is meeting Prime Minister David Cameron and other senior UK officials. The talks will focus on the bilateral relationship and ways to boost cooperation in all areas. Arriving for the few-day visit, he told reporters that he would hold talks with UK officials on all issues related to the Yemeni-British cooperation and partnership, topped by the efforts to bring stability to the African Horn and fight terrorism and maritime piracy. He appreciated the UK’s role in supporting Yemen’s development, stability, security, and unity, saying Britain has always proved its interest in providing unlimited support to Yemen based on its view that a united and stable Yemen is a major factor for the regional stability and boosting anti-terrorism and piracy efforts. He hoped the visit would contribute to strengthening the bilateral cooperation in all areas as he welcomed British investments to Yemen. FRSaba
