Saleh back home from three-nation tour
SANA’A, July 01 (Saba) President Ali Abdullah Saleh returned on Thursday to Sana’a from a trip that included stops in Libya, Egypt and Russia. Upon arrival at Sana’a International Airport, he said the talks he had held with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin were productive and focused on ways of boosting cooperation between Yemen and Russia in all areas. We saw a good understanding from our Russian friends and a big desire to expand Yemen-Russia ties and cooperation, he said, appreciating the Russian support for Yemen’s unity and stability. Saleh also touched upon his talks with Egyptian counterpart Mubarak that focused on aspects of cooperation between Yemen and Egypt. He appreciated the Egyptian support for Yemen during various stages. Moreover, he hailed the outcomes of the meeting of the pentagonal committee in Libyan capital, Tripoli, and recommendations produced for improving the Arab common work. The people in the Arab World have become fully aware of the need for activating the Arab action, overcoming the current situation and learning from others’ experiences to serve the Arab people and strengthen the Arab solidarity and unity, he concluded.
