Saleh back home from Gulf trip
SANA’A, Feb. 24 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Wednesday returned home from a two-day Gulf trip that included stops in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. President Saleh met with the kings of the two Arab kingdoms and Crown Princes and discussed the bilateral relationship with each state as well as means to strengthen cooperation on all fronts. Saleh’s talks with leaders of the two GCC members also brought up the latest regional and international developments, with the leaders agreeing to have a united Arab voice to face all challenges facing the region. Arriving in Sana’a from the first trip to the Gulf this year, Saleh said that the trip was productive, saying: I touched enthusiasm from both leaderships to strengthen mutual ties and cooperation with Yemen. He also appreciated the stances of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain supporting Yemen’s unity and stability. Saleh’s trip came few days ahead of the 27-28 February Riyadh Conference, that will discuss the best ways to disburse aid to Yemen as well as urging donors to do more to help the country. FRSaba
