Saleh attends orphans’ graduation party at President’s Center
SANA’A,Oct.20(Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Wednesday the graduation celebration of the 8th batch from the President’s Center for the Care and Rehabilitation of Orphans held at the Center. At the celebration, Saleh delivered a speech expressing his happiness for the accelerating development in the Center and commended the efforts of the Center’s leadership for the good performance and organization. “These orphans are not as the other think. They bow their heads, but their heads are high to the sky because they made the changes and make changes. They are the leaders, who made the changes, both at home or in the rest of the world”, Saleh said. He continued saying “We all grew up as orphans and I am the first one of the orphans”. He added that those, who make atonements and enter the history, are orphans. During the celebration, President Saleh was given the key of the Industrial City of the Orphan Foundation for Development, one of the institutions of the President’s Center. Before that, President Saleh opened a number of factories and workshops of the Industrial City at the President’s Center. Moreover, President Saleh opened (Solartech) Factory for solar heaters of Malaysian technology and Yemeni partnership, and got acquainted with the production of the factory, in which 500 young people are working. Saleh commended the efforts exerted for setting up these factories and productive workshops which provide job opportunities for youth and qualify them to work in the industrial area and enhance their role to contribute to the development. On another hand, President Saleh met with participants in the mass wedding for 3,000 grooms, organized by the President’s Center for the Care and Rehabilitation of Orphans and the Orphan Foundation for Development. In his speech, Saleh congratulated the grooms, pointing out that holding such mass weddings, which enable youth to get married ,is a positive phenomenon highlighting the spirit of social solidarity. Furthermore, President Saleh announced granting YR 100 thousand for each groom participating in this mass wedding. BASaba
