Saleh attends evening of poetry and singing in Dawan

DAWAN, July 20 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Monday night an evening of poetry and signing in Dawan district, Hadramout. The evening was held on his visit to the area where he inspected and launched developmental projects. Poems and songs pointed to the greatness of the national unity and aspirations of the people in Hadramout Province. MP Muhammad Abdul Rab al Amoudi delivered a speech in which he welcomed President Saleh to the province and underlined the visit that came to inspect and familiarize with needs of the people. He also underlined the stances of President Saleh, pointing to his sponsorship of the minute signed on Saturday between the General People’s Congress, the ruling party, the Joint Meeting Parties over implementing the February 2009 Agreement on improving the electoral system.
