Saleh and King Abdullah hold talks in Jeddah
JEDDAH July 10 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Monday to Jeddah in an official visit to Saudi Arabia to hold talks with KingAbdullah Bin Abdul al-Aziz. Afterward, President Saleh and Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul al-Aziz co-chaired a meeting in which they discussed the brotherly relations in additionto the two countries’ stances towards the latest developments in the Arab region especially the situations in Palestine and the Palestinian people sufferings due to the Israeli aggression. They have also discussed the support to be offered for the Palestinian people which is facing bad economic situation due to the economic and political blockade imposed by Israel. They have also called the international community to pressure Israel to imply the International laws and conventions regarding the establishment of the independent Palestinian state and its capital al-Quds al-Shareef. The talks shed lights on the situations in Iraq, Somalia and Sudan and the Yemeni and Saudi ‘ attitudes toward them. The two leaders confirmed the coordination of the efforts and stances of the two countries towards the political developments and the situationsin Iraq, Somalia and Sudan, confirming on the importance of prevailing security and stability in these countries. Upon arrival, Saleh was welcomed by top Saudi officials in the top of them King Abdullah bin Abdul al-Aziz, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul al-Aziz,interior minister Naif bin Abdul al-Aziz and many others officials.
