Saleh and Abdullah advise Fatah and Hamas to talk
PARIS, June 25 (Saba)- On the sideline of his visit to France President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Sunday evening in Paris the Custodian of the two Holly Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia. The two leaders talked on the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, especially the crisis between Fatah and Hamas movements as well as the situations in Iraq, Lebanon and Somalia. President Saleh and King Abdullah confirmed the importance of adopting dialogue between Fatah and Hamas movements to avoid escalation and to contain any tensions. They also confirmed their common concerns to serve the march of Arab solidarity as well as to continue exerting efforts in order to push forward peace process in the region under the Arab peace initiative suggested by Saudi Arabia. President Saleh informed King Abdullah on the situation in Saada and the agreement between the army and rebels to end conflict after a Qatari mediation. NN/NS
