Saleh and Abbas discuss Palestinian issues

SANA’A, Feb. 26(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here with the visiting Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazin).

During the meeting, the two presidents discussed mutual relations and regional and international developments of interest for both countries.

Abu Mazin briefed the developments in Palestine in the light of the recent legislative elections results, in addition to arrangements for forming new Palestinian authority.

For his part, Saleh assured Yemen’s support for the Palestinian struggle and its right to set up their independent country and al-Quds as its capital.

He praised the Palestinian legislative elections which were carried out honestly, affirming the respect for Palestinians’ choice.

On the other hand, Abu Mazin expressed recognition of Yemen’s support for the Palestinian issue all time.
