Presidents Saleh, Abbas discuss preparations for Arab summit

SANA’A, Feb. 13 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Wednesday President of Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbass who acquainted Saleh with developments in Palestine in the light of Israeli aggression and blockade on Gaza as well as efforts for promoting peace process in the area and preparations for holding the 20th Arab summit next March in Damascus. Abbas expressed gratitude to Yemen’s positions supporting Palestinian issue. President Saleh confirmed Yemen’s supporting positions to the Palestinian issue and renewed his call for unifying Palestinian fronts and getting rid of current differences between Hamas and Fatah movements for booting national unity and serving Palestinian issue. He renewed his call to international community to pressure Israel for stopping its aggression on Palestinian people, confirming the importance of the forthcoming summit to come up with positive decisions that boost Arab conciliation and solidarity for facing current challenges facing the nation.
