Presidential directives to establish sports city in Mukala
MUKALA,Jan.02(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh visited on Sunday a number of service and developmental projects in Hadramout province. He visited Al-Saleh Residential City Project for people with limited income in Mukala city. Saleh was briefed on the achievement in the project which consists of 400 housing units at a total cost of YR 2 billion and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. In this regard, Saleh stressed the attention to establishing such residential projects so as to achieve the construction boom and ensure the provision of adequate houses for low-income people on facilitated terms. After that, President Saleh inspected the implementation in the 60 kilometers round road project in Mukala city at a cost of YR 4.7 billion. In addition, Saleh paid a visit to the rehabilitation project of Ba-Radim Stadium in the city. Saleh gave his directives to establish a sports city in Mukala, and confirmed the interest in youth and sports and the expansion in creating youth’s facilities to enable them to develop their intellectual and sports skills. He pointed in this regard to what has been achieved in the sports infrastructure for youth, especially in Aden and Abyan provinces within the framework of the 20th Gulf Cup host. BA Saba
