President welcomes Dutch HR ambassador SANA’A, June 22, (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh welcomed to Yemen on Wednesday the visiting human rights ambassador of the Netherlands, Piet de Klerk. Talks focused on issues of democracy, human rights and the bilateral relations. The ambassador briefed Saleh on the result of his talks with Yemeni officials. The ambassador spoke highly of Yemen’s record in human rights and women participation. He also praised the national human rights report as reflective of Yemen’s commitment to progress in human rights and democracy.
