President visits Urf and Qubli valleys in Mukalla

MUKALLA, Jan. 17 ( Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid an inspection visit to Urf and Qubali valleys in Shihr district in Mukalla. President Saleh listened to the needs of people from development and service projects. Then, he visited a number of villages in the area where he was received by people of those villages. He talked to them and their needs and listened to detailed explanation over on ongoing projects which were being implemented in the region. He gave orders to the officials of the government to work to meet needs of thecitizens of the region. He thanked the people of the area for their cooperation with the concerned authorities to enhance security and stability. He also directed the concerned authorities to carry out the second phase of preserving agricultural lands project as well as the second phase of Wadi Water Project. He also gave orders to accomplish the special study associated with sanitation and drinking water project in this region. MS/AH SABA
