President visits Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance

SANA’A,(Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh visited on Wednesday the Ministry of civil service and insurance and inspected the civil service modernization project which aims to establish real data base for the state employees, modernizing human resources system and reorganizing the public employing structure. It would also generalize the fingerprint identification card system in all governmental bodies to put an end for double- employment cases. Saleh called upon all governmental bodies to cooperate with the ministry of civil service and insurance and provide it with the employees who have two employments. He also said that people who have two employments should cancel one of the two within 6 months. The ministry would implement the fingerprint identification card system after six months. There upon, people who would be late to cancel double-employment would undergo rules regarding this violation. Preliminary statistics unfolds that there are 60,000 double-employment cases. The president urged the ministry to activate its rules. “Parliament should also assist all governmental establishments to help in regulating the work process,” Saleh added. Hamoud Khaled al-Soufi, minister of civil service and insurance praised those employees who submitted their resignation from one of their double employments and declared that those who are still have double employments would be investigated and lose the chance to choose the best employment.
