President visits Bani Al-Hareth
SANA’A, Oct 1 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh visited Bani Al-Harith in Sana’a on Wednesday to inspect the situations of the general public. The motorcade of the President was welcomed in the area by a number of senior local council officials, dignitaries and crowds of ordinary citizens. President Saleh lauded the “cooperation of the citizens with the government” in what serves the public interests. He cited their help in the establishment of Sana’a International Airport which is designed according to the state-of-the-art specifications. “This big and vital project is essential for coping with the extensive constructions and the growing number of passengers via air.” The President urged “the acceleration of accomplishing the project.” Then , he visited the Air Forces Training Institute where he was received by the officials and teaching staff of the institute. President Saleh toured the divisions of the institute which teach aviation, engineering and air defense. Saleh asserted his interest to support the institute. He opened a mosque in the campus of the institute. President Saleh visited the National Security Agency and was given an account by the agency officials about the functions of the agency in preserving the national security. President Saleh stressed the imperative of learning from the experiences of the others in “ensuring the security and integrity of Yemen and protecting the national security, sovereignty and high interests.” He noted that the agency was established to confront all hostile activities which pose a threat to the economic and military interests of the nation.” AA/NM President – Visits – Bani Al-Hareth SABA
