ANA’A, May 16 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended Tuesday the opening session of the General Conference of Yemen Islamic Scholars in which he assinged them to play an active role in finding out reasons of and solutions to Sa’ada crises. I would like to bring you to a closer vision of what is taking place in the country, specially in Sa’ada, he said. “You know, we have sent a number of Islamic commissions and national individuals with messages to those terrorist elements in Sa’ada to surrender but of no avail. They continued committing destruction works, blood shedding and disorder.” President said. He made it clear that if they surrendered and handed over their heavy arms to the government, then they can establish a political party which is neither sectarian nor provincial in accordance with the Yemeni resolution and laws. President slammed those terrorists’ demand of taking control of the government after 46 years of republican governance, making it clear that: “We are all citizens of equal rights and no difference among us, regardless of our sect.” He referred the out of law actions of the terrorist elements in Sa’ada to their evil intentions and willingness to return to the dark Imamate era.
