President talks with Total executive officer

PARIS, Oct. 11 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Monday the Chief Executive Officer of the French Total company Christophe de Margerie. They discussed activities of the company in exploration of oil and gas and improving blocks under the company in Yemen, in addition to the new blocks. They also talked over forming a joint team from Yemen and Total regarding the Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) to reconsider the LNG selling agreement with Yemen according to the international market. Saleh welcomed French investment in Yemen in the field of oil, affirming the importance of Total to increase its activities in exploring and prospecting oil and improve blocks to ensure oil production for interest of the two sides.
