President Saleh: Yemen is very concerned about security and

Sana’a Jan 24 , 2007 (Saba ) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Wednesday with the Ethiopia Foreign Minister, Siyoum Mesfin , who delivered him a letter from the Ethiopian premier Meles Zinawi. The letter dealt with issues of bilateral relations, the Ethiopian position toward the latest developments in Somalia in the light of the withdrawal of Ethiopian forces from Mogadishu and the call for harmonizing the positions of the two countries for the purpose of serving the regional security and peace. The letter also dealt with topics and issues related to the schedule of the works of Sana’a Forum States session which will be held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. Saleh emphasized that Yemen is very concerned about the matter of security and stability in Somalia and it supports all efforts for creating dialogue among Somali sides, to bring stability into Somalia and rebuilding its institutions. He said that the security in Somalia is a very concerned topic to Yemen and all regional countries. FR/TN SABA
