President Saleh visits Hadramout province

MUKALLA, Hadramout, Feb 5 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Saturday in Mukalla city, Hadramout province to have a closer look at the conditions of the citizens and underway development projects inthe province. Upon arrival, President Saleh paid a visit to the al-Bedyea and al-Kharakh irregions bordering Saudi Arabia, where he inspected facilities and currentworks to provide the citizens of the two regions with basic services. On the other hand, President Saleh visited the 11th brigade of border guards in the al-Bedayea region where he asked about conditions of the border guards. He appreciated role of the brigade in protecting national interests. He also expressed comfort for process of exchanging the border posts between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, highlighting present cooperation between borderguards of both countries to combat terror and smuggling acts.
