President Saleh to visit Italy next November

SANA’A, Oct 28(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh will head for Italy in an official visit next November. An official source in the Foreign Ministry said that president Saleh would hold talks with the Italian president Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and his Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi dealing with the Yemeni-Italian mutualcooperation relations and the means of boosting them. The source added that talks would focus on the current regional issues on top of them Palestinian and Iraqi issues and the European role inrestoring peace in the Middle East. Moreover they would discuss the Yemeni-Italian cooperation in fighting terrorism as Italy would support Yemen in establishing coast guards anddeveloping Yemeni ports. On the other hand Yemen, Italy and Turkey were chosen to head the committeeof democratic dialogue in the region in accordance with the recommendations of G-8 summit in Georgia, United States.
