President Saleh to run for another term

SANA’A,- President Ali Abdullah Saleh accepted to run for another term in September because of the popular masses pressure who appealed him to run for the upcoming presidential elections. In his speech to 1.3 million supporters, who gathered in Al-Sabayeen Square in Sana’a City appealing him to reverse his earlier decision and run for September elections, president Saleh said that he complied with people’s pressure and their desire. “I will in run in the coming elections.” President Saleh said. He added that he will continue his leadership for the country and will continue the development process and go on in building the modern state of Yemen together with all honest people. “I’ m with you, I m with you, I’ m with you to deliver the ship of our nation to safe harbor.” “We have to gather all our offers and forces to build the future of our country,” Saleh said. Meanwhile, the extraordinary meeting of the General People Conference (GPC) concluded and came out with the decision of the 7th conference which named President Ali Abdullah Saleh the GPC’s candidate for the presidential polls to be held in September.
