President Saleh to participate in Arafat funeral in Cairo

SANA’A Nov 11 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh will head on Friday with a high-level Yemeni delegation to participate in the funeral ceremonies of the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in the Egyptian capital Cairo, official sources said. The sources said that the funeral of president Arafat who died in the French Capital Paris on Thursday would start tomorrow in Cairo with participation of many Arab, Islamic and foreign leaders. It pointed out that Arafat’s body will be transmitted to Ramalah to be buried there. In the same level, President Saleh have sent a cable of condolences on Arafat’s death to the to the acting President of the Palestinian national authority Rohy Fatoh. NA/NS
