President Saleh to attend Arab summit

ANA’A(Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh confirmed on Friday that he would take part in meetings of the upcoming Arab summit in Tunis next week. Saleh made the confirmation during a a phone call on Friday evening with the Egyptian President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak. During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the brotherly relations between the two countries, and the ongoing arrangements for holding the Arab summit in the Tunisian capital, in addition to the latest developments in the region. The two presidents asserted their participation in the summit and coordination the attitudes of the two countries towards the scheduled subjects in the summit’s agenda. Meanwhile, Saleh made a phone call on Friday with the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Primer and Commander of the National Guard Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz. Over the call, they discussed fraternal relations and the Arab summit scheduled for March 29-30. They also discussed means to making summit successful to come out with good results that would help enhance the Arab solidarity and activate the Arab joint work. NA/KMSABA
