President Saleh tells Palestians: “Abide by the Mecca deal”

SANA’A, Feb 16 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh urged Palestinians to hold firm to their national alignment mandated by the Hamas-Fatah agreement, recently signed in Mecca. Saleh urged the main factions to abide by the Mecca deal during a phone conversation with Hamas politburo in Damascus Khaled Mishaal. Mishaal gave Saleh an account on the concrete steps the political actors have taken to put the agreement into effect. Saleh hoped a national unity government would ride the Palestinian people of the long-imposed sanctions and continue to strive for regaining the Palestinian rights and creating a viable state.
