President Saleh telephones King of Bahrain
SANA’A, May 01 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh made on Sunday a phone call with King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain.During the phone conversation, Saleh and Al Khalifa discussed the brotherly bilateral relations and latest developments in the region, particularly, the situation in Yemen and Bahrain.The two leaders reviewed the efforts exerted by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to resolve the current stalemate in Yemen, commending such brotherly efforts that show the keenness of the GCC’s States on the unity and security of Yemen.President Saleh reiterated his welcome of the GCC-brokered initiative affirming the positive response with it as a whole, indivisible and non-selective initiative, whose articles should be carried out one after another according to priorities.He pointed to the plots hatched to spread anarchy and destabilize the security and stability in Arab countries; including Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Libya, Jordan, Egypt and Tunisia.For his part, Al Khalifa exalted the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, affirming Bahrain’s support for Yemen’s security, stability and unity.HA/AF
