President Saleh telephones Gulf leaders

SANA’A, April 8 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh spoke Friday evening with a number of leaders of the Gulf states in separate telephone calls. President Saleh telephoned with Saudi King Abdullah bin King Abdul Aziz, Omani Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and EAU President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. During his conversations, Saleh discussed with the leaders of the Gulf states the current developments in Yemen as well as the Gulf states’ good efforts to resolve the current crisis and the differences between Yemeni parties. President Saleh renewed welcome of the gulf efforts to end the crisis in the framework of dialogue, protect Yemen’s satisfy, security, stability and unity and serve the interest of its people. The gulf leaders confirmed their states’ keenness to maintain Yemen’s security, stability and unity and achieve reconciliation among all parties in the country. YA Saba
