President Saleh supports new government

SANA’A, Dec. 25 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh has said that the task of the newly appointed national united government is a national and it is required to lead the country out of the current crisis. In a news conference, President Saleh said that he will support the government in carrying out its functions, calling on the joint meeting parties not to stall the implementation of the Gulf-brokered initiative. He called on the United Nations Secretary General, the Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council, the Gulf countries and the permanent members of the Security Council to monitor all parties in Yemen and detect a party hinders the implementation of the initiative and its implementation mechanism. The President pointed out that the march, which started from the southern city of Taiz towards the capital Sana’a and led by the JMP, was a clear violation of the Gulf-brokered initiative.
