President Saleh sends condolence to head of PA

SANA’A, Nov 11 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Thursday a cable of condolence to Rawhi Fattouh, speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, who was sworn in Thursday at noon as interim president of the Palestinian Authority hours after Yasser Arafat died in a French hospital. Saleh said the death of the brave and wise leader was a great loss for the Arab and Moslem nations. “We in the Republic of Yemen express our grievances and deep sorrow to the families of the late leader and the people of Palestine and all other Arab and Moslem peoples,” read the cable.
