President Saleh receives Yemen group in British Parliament

LONDON, Augusts 26 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday in his residence in London the Yemen Group in the British Parliament, a ragtag political body. He held talks with them on the friendly relations between Yemen and the United Kingdom. The members of the group expressed appreciation of Yemen’s experience in democracy and the active function of the political arties on the Yemeni landscape. They also discussed the role of the United Kingdom in forging a Middle East partnership and addressed hot spots of Iraq and Palestine. The meeting was attended by Shura Chairman Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qerbi and senior other government officials. AA/NS
