President Saleh receives phone call from Somali president

SANA’A, Dec. 25 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Friday a phone call from the Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed who congratulated President Saleh on the latest successful operation against elements of al-Qaeda.They also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and efforts exerted to settle peace in Somali as well as obstacles facing security and stability in the Arab country.The Somali president highly appreciated efforts of President Saleh to collect support for Somalia at regional and international level in order to achieve Somali conciliation.For his part, president Saleh confirmed Yemen’s position which supports current Somali government to achieve peace and security in Somalia.AH
